Drain & Sewer Cleaning
Veolia Environmental Services utilise a large range of specialist equipment to carry out industrial cleaning of stormwater, sewer, grease, industrial drains and potable water and gas mains ranging from diameters of 50mm, and stormwater lines from diameters of 100mm to 1800mm. Combined with our fleet of CCTV camera’s for pipeline inspection, Veolia is able to provide a complete report of the clients drainage systems.
Our specialised applications remove a variety of materials such as tree roots, grease, bacterial cultures, deposits, roots, drain skins, sediments, filtrates, incrustations, organic foulings, oxide layers, coatings systems, sludges, cement slurry, debris, silt, scale and incrustations from a variety of drains and sewer systems.
Veolia’s Range of Applications for Drain and Sewer Cleaning include:
High/Low Pressure Water Units
Veolia has a large fleet of drain cleaning units, which can be used for both low and high pressure cleaning work, up to 3000 PSI. All units have large-volume water storage tanks, and also carry standpipes for easy connection to hydrants for street water supplies. These water-jetting units are fitted with the latest rotating water-jet cutting heads, which remove deposits such as grease, sand, silt and roots. Each unit carries a minimum of 260 metres of ¾" hose, a wide range of jet nozzles, bombs and cleaning heads.
Vacuum/Draincleaning Units
Using our fleet of combination vacuum/ draincleaning units is a superior way of removing unwanted material (grit, silt, sludge) from drainage systems without confined space entry. Silt and grit removal, transport and disposal from sewer carriers, wet wells, digesters and fermentation tanks is carried out using our fleet of vacuum loaders or combination vacuum/drain cleaning units.
Chemical Root Treatment Units
Veolia also provides a chemical root treatment service which will prevent the growth of roots in sewer lines for up to 2 years. Our chemical root treatment system is NRA registered and labeled for use in sewer lines and accepted for use across Australia. The chemical treatment solution provides a chemical barrier suppressing the growth of root tips for up to twelve months, after which, natural processes detoxify the solution.
Veolia uses the BrecCo SP-V series of foam generating equipment for the application of the product as it allows the chemicals to be mixed at the moment of application.
In addition, Veolia have a large team of fully trained, experienced and certified confined space entry personnel, should manned entry be required. Our Water Services personnel are qualified to complete surveys by traverse of underground sewer carriers and stormwater canals, grit chambers and GPTs.
Pipeline Rehabilitation
As part of Veolia’s Drain and Sewer cleaning services, Pipeline Inspection and Rehabilitation is also offered as a supporting service.
