Soft Plastics - low density polyethylene (LDPE) Materials
What are soft plastics (LDPE)?
Plastics are polymers, chains of molecules produced by smaller molecules called monomers. There are many different types of plastics depending on their molecular make up and shape.

What does Veolia Environmental Services do with soft plastics waste?
Veolia encourages all our customers to separate soft plastic materials from all other waste streams in order to recover the most amount of plastic possible.
Plastics are made from oil, gas and coal, which are limited natural resources, so it is therefore a much better outcome to reuse the materials than produce plastics from virgin materials.
All clean plastic collected by Veolia Environmental Services is delivered directly to an approved processing facility. Contaminated plastic is delivered to one of our resource recovery facilities for processing.
