Veolia Environmental Services is firmly committed to the community within which we work, recognising that we need to form partnerships with the community if we are to effectively address our own demands and the community’s demands for more sustainable outcomes.
It is important to Veolia that we continue to provide resources to the community to support their participation in programs that support a sustainable future because we cannot work alone to bring about change in our industry and to the community. We foster, therefore, a program of support for industry and education; sponsor major community events and other issues important to the community at a local level.
The Veolia Mulwaree Trust supports community projects and charities for the benefit of the community of the former Mulwaree Shire Council area in Southern NSW or a community within a council area which immediately adjoined Mulwaree. Trust funds are generated from Veolia’s Woodlawn Bioreactor near Tarago. In the past four years the Veolia Mulwaree Trust has proudly contributed more than $2.7 million toward community projects supporting hospitals, schools, charities, sport and recreation facilities and community groups. Each year Veolia delivers an environmental education competition for children aged between 8-11. The 2008 Campaign is entitled Cities Around the World and asks children to learn about their city and more so, understand how to protect it for future generations. The competition is now open for Australian Schools - to learn more visit here

Veolia Environmental Services is also supported on a Global Scale through Veolia Environnements’ Foundation, which establishes assistance and support for the worlds needy and disadvantaged.
