Veolia launches 2008 global childrens environmental competition.

Participate in the 2008 VE childrens environmental campaign and you could win a trip to Paris.

Each year Veolia Environment establishes a global campaign for school age children centred around environmental protection and sustainability. The campaign helps to educate future generations about the very real environmental threats that exist within our world and as the decision makers of tomorrow, how this will affect their future.

The global environmental campaigns for children in 2008 is entitled Cities Around the World and it invites children from 30 countries to tell the tale of their city. Children will have to find out more about their city, discover its desires and dreams and express what people could do so that it keeps living in harmony with the earth.

This is the 5th annual Childrens campaign to be run by Veolia and this years competition seeks to be the most successful to date.

As part of the competition, children are asked to submit two drawings and a supporting story about their city and what needs to be done to protect it for future generations. The winning class chosen will then be awarded an all expenses paid trip to Paris for two students and the class teacher. Whilst in Paris the representatives from the school will participate in the official celebration of the competition with children from over 30 countries around the world.
