Veolia Environmental Services believe in the value of education. Prescribing to the ideals of Sustainable Development, offering education resources for schools, councils and businesses is one way in which Veolia is ensuring the messages of environmental preservation and safe and sustainable waste management practices are dispersed.

Education resources are available from any of our state teams and can be catered for your individual needs.

2008 International Childrens Environmental Campaign - Cities Around the World.

Each year Veolia delivers an environmental education competition for children aged between 8-11. The 2008 Campaign is entitled Cities Around the World and asks children to learn about their city and more so, understand how to protect it for future generations. The competition is now open for Australian Schools - to learn more visit here

Businesses

Veolia is able to provide information on Recycling Systems, E-Waste Disposal as well as other business waste management options. Veolia is also a the major sponsor of Business Clean Up Day is designed for Australian businesses and is a unique opportunity for employees to work as a team and make a difference in the local community. 

Councils

Veolia works closely with many councils throughout Australia in developing tailor made solutions for their communities waste management plans. Veolia is able to provide Councils with relevant recycling and waste collection information on request, to distribute to residents.

Schools

Veolia works closely with many schools, offering fact sheets and information on how to recycle and how to be wise with waste. We also can arrange for schools to visit some of our Waste Transfer Stations, and our Woodlawn Bio-Reactor Facility in Tarago, NSW and the Ti-Tree Bio-reactor in Archerfield, QLD Qld. Tales Around the World

The Tales around the World Initiative is the fourth annual global campaign run by Veolia Environnement. This years’ campaign is aimed at children aged between 8 and 11. The campaign is open to every school in Australia and as created to raise awareness in primary school students about environmental issues.

The 2007 campaign, Tales Around the World required students to create a drawing of a mask with an accompanying story which showcases the important links between people and nature.
