The Federal Government’s Energy Efficiency Opportunities program aims to encourage large businesses to improve their energy efficiency. Participation is mandatory for corporations that use more than 0.5 petajoules (PJ) of energy per year*; and requires these businesses to recognize, evaluate and report on opportunities where they can attain energy savings.
The requirements are set out in the Energy Efficiency Opportunities legislation that commenced the 1st of July 2006. Veolia Environmental Services continues to support this energy saving initiative and presents customers with a second Energy Saving Opportunities Report available here.
