Clyde Transfer Terminal Reaches Major Milestone

Clyde Transfer Terminal reached a significant milestone recently when it surpassed the 2 million tonne mark of waste entered through the facility.

At present, the terminal is currently licensed to accept 400,000 tonnes of waste per year, which equates to approximately 20% of the Sydney Metropolitan putrescibles waste market. All waste is containerised and transported by rail to the Woodlawn Bioreactor, which is the only known waste by rail process undertaken within Australia.

The Clyde/ Woodlawn team both past and present, must be congratulated for their dedication and commitment to this world-class facility, which was opened in April of 2004.
